Step 1: Consultation
An experienced Relyant Solar technician will come to your home for a free consultation and an analyzation of your roof and electrical panel. We respect your time and concisely share the honest pros and cons of each option. We help you understand the confusing semantics and fine print in many solar proposals and contracts out there. We simply leave you with a quote and information to think about, with zero pressure to move forward.
Step 2: Site Survey
This is to make certain your home qualifies for solar. Just because you say “Yes”, it doesn’t mean we always can. Because we insure the roof, good companies know not to install on risky roofs.
Step 3: CAD Design
This will be the “blueprint” of your solar installation. Once the CAD is complete, it goes through engineering review to verify it is ready to submit for permits.
Step 4: Permit
Based on your jurisdiction, this could be the same-day or up to 6 weeks. More complex projects may require additional permitting.
Step 5: Installation
This is where the magic happens! Glass hits the roof on this step. The larger the system, the longer it takes.
Step 6: Inspection
This is typically done 1 to 10 days after installation based on the City’s availability.
Step 7: P.T.O.
This stands for Permission To Operate. You finally get to go turn it on and start saving that money.
Step 8: Energizing
You will receive a phone call to verify your system is up and running, and a final quality assurance check.
